A manipulator
Of words, of reality
Of opinion, of truth?
The artist of human creation?
The scholar of sound?

Society's unraveller.
Treading the line
Between menace and martyr
Searching all the while
For who they really are
What is a poet?
The one who'll say what you won't
Who causes a stir
Who warms and chills and shapes this earth
Remembered,
Until their words become archeology's play
